Derby Joggers - jogging and walking groups

Derby Joggers summer Couch to 5k graduates at the Alvaston Parkrun

Couch to 5k, 5k fun runs and walking

Derby Joggers (part of Jog Derbyshire) offer FREE opportunities for people to walk and jog with a friendly and supportive group in Derby.

Couch to 5k

Couch to 5k 9-week courses are designed for beginners to gradually build up their running ability so they can eventually run 5km without stopping.

The plan involves three runs each week - you can choose to attend one group session and complete two other runs independently or attend all three of the groups!  The groups are led by Jog Derbyshire leaders, who are also Livewell volunteers and have been through the course themselves.  Find out more about the course by reading the Derby Joggers Couch to 5k Information Sheet.

The Monday and Thursday groups also offers 5k fun runs (from 22 Sept) as a progression route for previous graduates or for those with some jogging experience.

Running trainers are essential to take part.
