New booklet promotes healthy ageing in Derby

Active Ageing Derby booklet

A collaboration of local organisations has announced the release of a new booklet designed to support and promote healthy ageing among older residents in Derby. The "Active Ageing Derby" booklet, now available, provides information about various support services and activities tailored for older people in the community.

The booklet offers an overview of the diverse programmes and activities provided by Derby County Community Trust, Derby City Council, and Everyone Active, the operators of Moorways Sports Village and Water Park. It includes essential contact details to help residents find specific sessions that suit their needs.

The "Active Ageing Derby" booklet highlights a range of opportunities aimed at helping older residents stay active and maintain their strength and balance. Among the activities featured are health and wellbeing sessions, strength and balance exercise classes, weight management support, swimming, and the Moorways GP exercise referral scheme, among others.
